Meetings

We meet as a Pack once per month, and Den meetings for each rank occur roughly twice a month.

Den meetings last about an hour, and we cover requirements and electives to advance to the next level. This involves learning about the basic tenets of Scouting, as well as participating in fun physical activities.

Most meetings occur at Bartlett Youth Foundation, while others may be planned at local parks or public services (police/fire station tours, meeting at local civic centers, etc.).

Each rank meets on a specific day of the week, so that we do not crowd each other at the BYF location.

Communication

Once your child has joined Pack 142, parents will be invited to use Scoutbook, a national Scouting website, to track their child’s Scouting progress, as well as keep track of your child’s Scout Account. Scout Accounts are funded by various fundraising activities throughout the year, and is defined by our Pack’s financial policy which you will be requested to review and sign.

We also maintain a private Facebook group for Pack 142 to share news, pictures and other information. Once your Scout has joined Pack 142, access to the Facebook group can be requested to the Pack Secretary.

We use both Scoutbook and Facebook for communicating upcoming events and activities, as well as texts/emails from the Den Leaders to Den parents.
